The era of seeking continuous novelty is behind us; we now prioritize simplicity, durability, and products that make life easier.
It is crucial that we, as designers, create smarter objects, not by simply adding features, but by designing responsible products that meet our actual needs.
Life’s A Bit More Flexible Now
Our daily routine is anything but rigid: we're working from the sofa, traveling lighter, and living in spaces that must constantly multitask. The products and objects we use must keep up with this new flow.
Different needs require new designs, products that are modular, connected, or easily repairable. The challenge lies in creating perfect partners for our evolving lives. Suddenly, the desk chair needs to function as a meeting pod. The lamp becomes a tool for ambiance as well as a dedicated reading light.
Welcome to the Era of Living Objects
The future isn't about owning things; it's about having partners. Thanks to clever AI, self-healing materials, and circular design, our objects will learn our quirks, adapt on the fly, fix themselves, and seamlessly rejoin the ecosystem. They won't just be witnesses to our time; they'll be active, reliable teammates.
Introducing the IN/OUT Lamp
The goal was simple: make something that looks great while sitting still, but is also ultra-functional when it’s time to move.
ARIETO studio has designed a lamp that truly adapts to our needs, inspired by the way we move from room to room, from inside to outside. Why choose between the elegant comfort of a permanent table lamp and the pure utility of a portable, go-anywhere light? The IN/OUT lamp delivers both.
